On behalf of the Yale Club of Japan and the Yale Visiting International Program group in Japan, we are pleased to invite you to a special speaker event featuring Tomohiro Nakagawa, who attended Yale and Stanford from 2012–2014, earning his Master’s Degree in East Asian Studies.
Mr. Nakagawa has held several key roles within Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which he joined in 2010. Since July 2024, he has been the Principal Deputy Director of the Economic Partnership Division in the Economic Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA). He also serves as an interpreter for Prime Minister Takaichi and, in that capacity, has accompanied the Prime Minister on overseas engagements, including a recent appearance featured on French President Emmanuel Macron’s Instagram account.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Nakagawa as he shares insights into his current work and reflects on the impact of his experiences at Yale.
