An Afternoon with Tomohiro Nakagawa

Since July 2024, he has been the Principal Deputy Director of the Economic Partnership Division in the Economic Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA). He also serves as an interpreter for Prime Minister Takaichi and, in that capacity, has accompanied the Prime Minister on overseas engagements, including a recent appearance featured on French President Emmanuel Macron’s Instagram account.

Yale Day of Service 2025
We’re thrilled to invite you to this year’s Yale Day of Service event: organizing and hosting a pizza party at a local children’s institution (orphanage) in Tokyo.
Day: Sunday, July 13
Time: 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Tokyo Katei Gakko, 〒168-0072 Tokyo, Suginami City, Takaidohigashi, 2 Chome−3−4 上高井戸教会
Come join us for an afternoon of fun, connection, and community service—sharing joy (and pizza!) with the kids. Several members of the YCOJ were able to visit the home in advance, and were moved by the energy of the children. We can't wait for other club members to experience the same as part of Yale's annual tradition of giving back to the communities around us.
