Dear Yalies,
We are delighted to announce the Sakura Ball 2026, hosted by the Ivy League Plus Clubs of Japan on Saturday, April 4 (6pm-10pm) at the Tokyo American Club. Join alumni from leading U.S. universities in Japan for a black tie evening of celebration and connection.
The evening will feature a seated course dinner, free-flow drinks during part of the evening, and a cash bar after 9pm, followed by music and dancing. A live jazz band will perform during the evening. We are also proud that our very own Yalie Alina Ito, Miss Cosmo Japan 2026, will serve as co-MC for the evening and perform a few songs with the jazz band.
Shine On! Kids is the sponsored charity for the ball. They provide innovative programs to support children with cancer and other serious illnesses in Japan. Learn more about their work here: https://sokids.org/
Interest from Yalies has already been strong based on an earlier indication-of-interest form, and we are now moving to final RSVPs and payment to secure seats. Please RSVP as soon as possible as seats are not unlimited. TAC wishes to receive dietary restriction info by March 20 (if possible) and list of attendees by March 26. The event is expected to bring together around 300 Ivy Plus alumni and friends, so let’s make sure the Yale community is well represented! (Plus ones and guests are welcome.)
